Moondance Meadows
Page history last edited by Brent Wiersma 1 yr ago
Moondance Meadows is a Community Supported Agriculture farm located in the rolling hill country of Scandinavia Township. Our family farm grows a wide variety of vegetables, fruits and herbs in harmony with the land without the use of synthetic insecticides, fertilizers or herbicides. We make efforts to produce food in a manner that will help sustain the earth for future generations. This includes the use of solar energy, soil building techniques, and preservation of meadows, wetlands, and woodlands.
In addition to our CSA offerings we offer produce to restaurants in exchange for restaurant credit. We also sell some produce retail at the farm.
We raise poultry for eggs and meat. Pigs and goats will be added to the farm in 2008. These animals are raised on pasture in rotation with our annual crops or in buffer zones between perennial crops.
In 2008, we will initiate a major Permaculture planting on contour to provide sustainable production of additional berries and nuts.
