Welcome to the Farmshed Wiki, a community managed website to plan and promote local food economies in Central Wisconsin!

If you are unfamiliar with what a "wiki" is and how it works, please take a few moments and to browse the Wiki Handbook.

Central Rivers Farmshed is a volunteer-run community group working to build and strengthen relationships between local farms, restaurants, retailers, and consumers in Central Wisconsin. You can learn more about us at www.farmshed.org.

The Farmshed Wiki has the following pages:

  • Breakfast - We have breakfast every Friday at 7am to talk about and eat good food. Find out where breakfast is, add a location, and come and join us. Everyone is welcome!
  • Schedule - View and add upcoming community events.
  • Initiatives - View our intiatives and help move them forward!
  • Event Planning - Help organize and volunteer for farmshed events.
  • Member Pages - View wiki pages of the farmers, food sellers, and activists that make up Central Rivers Farmshed. And, create a web page of your own!
  • News - View and post news relevant to food, sustainable agriculture, and community building.
  • Resources - View and share resources.
  • Discussion - Links to the Farmshed Google Group for food issue dialogue.
  • Others? Do you think we should have another page? Add it!

To edit this wiki you'll notice that you need to enter your email address and our invite key. If you didn't get the invite key from me already, just email nick@farmshed.org and request it.

Hi Nick. I'm willing to give this a solid try. I work in Information Technology at UWSP with google groups and wiki's and it's been my experience that if individuals are not organized, are not used to effectively using computers, and are not trained in sites like google they probably won't be any more effective in Wiki. I hope to be proven wrong.
