Agenda for next meeting: marketing, program development, report on restaurants, report on play
Goals:1) Increase the public’s awareness and interest in local foods
2) Increase involvement in local food (Farmshed) initiatives
3) Use the arts to express the value of local foods
Audience: Primary: The general public
Secondary: School teachers and food service; Restaurants; Farmers; Grocers

Timing:Tuesday, March 3rd, 5:30 – 8:00 PM
Venue:SPASH – Auditorium and south commons
Components:
1) Local Food Play
Artistic expression of the value of local foods.This will include a play to address the 3 aspects of local foods laid out by Pollan – food security, health, and climate change.See the attached outline
2) Food
Provide local food for participants to enjoy.Provide a local potato bar.Farmshed will provide baked potatoes with basic toppings, restaurants will be asked to provide toppings and dessert.
3) Information courtyard: Initiative Information/Local food exhibition
Provide an opportunity to showcase local food/Farmshed initiatives and to create a list of people interested in working on those initiatives during the next year.Also invite other local food related organizations to participate.Have CSA sign-up here.Maybe provide some demonstrations/examples (e.g., container gardening)

6:30-7:00 performance
7-8 Desert, coffee, information courtyard
