This will be an opportunity for all locavores to barter their local goods with others who may have something you desire. Have too many canned tomatoes but not enough jam? Looking for maple syrup? How about dehydrated shiitake? Or, grass fed beef?
You can bring all of your locally preserved food (or other local goods) to the local food exchange and barter with other locavores for the stuff you need to get you through the winter. The event will be a picnic and potluck as well (so you can taste what you are getting into!).
